Hemp Seed Dog Biscuits
These hemp seed dog biscuits are so much fun to make. Your kitchen will smell yummy while they bake. This recipe is so easy to follow and the biscuits are so healthy. Use this recipe to bake biscuits in celebration of National Dog Biscuit Day or any day of the year.

- 1½ cups organic oat bran
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ⅓ cup hemp seeds
- ½ tsp ceylon cinnamon
- ¼ cup melted coconut oil
Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl.
Knead the mixture with your hands.
Form dough into a ball and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Place wax paper on your work space and coat it and a rolling pin with the oat bran.
Roll out the biscuit dough, about a ¼ inch thick.
Use a cookie cutter of choice to cut shapes in dough.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for 22 to 25 minutes.
Let thoroughly cool before sharing with your fur baby.
- If the dough is too sticky, add more oat bran; if too dry, add a little water.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze in a baggie for up to 3 weeks.
- Ovens will vary in temperature, so start checking at 22 minutes.
